Book Launch 2 March 2013

Lorraine Day’s latest book, ‘Gidgee and Grit: a history of Loves Creek Sttion and Ross River Homestead, Central Australia’ will be launched by Ted Egan (legendary Australian singer songwriter, self-confessed bushy, former Northern Territory Administrator, and compassionate advocate for Aboriginals and all Australians) at 2 pm on Saturday 2 March 2013 at the SA Writers’ Centre, 187 Rundle Street, Adelaide (upstairs). Lift access is also available via the adjacent Brunelli’s Restaurant.

Australian Business Week

On Friday 5 December 2008, Freestyle Publications was proud to be invited to participate in the Australian Business Week activities by judging the Annual Reports of 12 teams of students at Tatachilla Lutheran College, McLaren Vale, South Australia. Australilan Business Week is a partnership between educators and business, whereby students learn entrepreneurial and small business skills using a computer simulation in which they take an organisation through the equivalent of a two-year business cycle. Year 10 Business Studies’ students at Tatachillla hypothetically took over a hospitality business, which they developed and marketed, culminating in the creation of a trade display, production of a video advertisement and a company report and made an oral presentation to a panel of judges.
